In today’s technology-driven world, digital literacy is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. Yet, thousands of underprivileged children and young adults in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh remain disconnected from basic computer education, severely limiting their education and employment opportunities.

📌 Only 10% of rural households in India have access to a computer. (National Sample Survey – NSS)
 📌 Less than 20% of individuals in rural areas can operate a computer effectively.
 📌 75% of Indian youth lack basic computer skills, reducing their job prospects. (National Employability Report, 2021)
 📌 Less than 30% of schools in rural Andhra Pradesh have functional computer labs. (UDISE Data)
 📌 only 5% of India’s workforce has received formal training in digital skills. (Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship – MSDE)

Without urgent intervention, millions of children and young adults will be left behind in the digital economy.

Recognizing this gap, Chinmaya Mission Visakhapatnam West has launched Basic Computer Training Programs for underprivileged children and young adults.

Despite the positive impact of this initiative, thousands of students remain deprived due to limited resources, infrastructure, and funding.
